In all dental clinics and departments of Minsk on July 16, it will be possible to receive professional advice on the prevention of dental diseases, as BELTA learned from the Minsk City Executive Committee.
Free consultations will include educational and motivational materials, as well as the selection of individual prevention programs for the visitor.
Such meetings will be held within the framework of the Day of Prevention of Dental Diseases - the annual educational event that is held to teach methods of preserving the health of teeth and oral organs, raise awareness of risk factors and hygiene.
The topic of prevention of dental diseases does not lose its relevance. Epidemiological survey of schoolchildren, conducted by a group of specialists in Minsk, showed that 67% of 12-year-olds and 76% of 15-year-olds have carious teeth. If the pathological process of caries is not stopped, the tooth will be gradually destroyed, which leads to the development of a large number of complications. Therefore, one of the main tasks of the doctor is to inform the patient about the importance of the problem in an accessible form and to tell about the ways of maintaining dental health.
