Since June, all capital polyclinics will conduct dispensary examinations of patients not only on weekdays but also on Saturdays. This was reported to the correspondent of the agency "Minsk-News" by the first deputy chairman of the Health Committee of the Minsk City Executive Committee Dzmitry Charadnichenka.
“Organization of preventive medical examinations of patients on Saturdays is necessary primarily for working citizens, as many of them do not have time to go to the doctor on weekdays,” Dz. Charadnichenka noted. “The doctors will invite patients to the early treatment medical examinations, for example, using the system of automatic dialing. It is important to increase people's responsibility for their health. This is particularly true for men aged 40-60 years as they have many risk factors for developing non-infectious diseases that can lead to premature death.”
Dz. Charadnichenka stressed that at present the early treatment medical examinations of the population on Saturdays is carried out in the 8th, 29th, 32nd and 39th polyclinics. These days clinic-diagnostic laboratories are working, there is the possibility of performing functional diagnostics – ultrasonography, ECG (electrocardiogram). You can do spirography (a method of assessing the state of the lungs by measuring the volume and velocity of exhaled air).
During a medical examination, if a disease is identified or a disease is suspected, the physician develops an individual route for further examination of the patient.
